This organization is holding potluck picnics every year for its members and their family and friends. For the last several years they were held at the South Pavilion of the Lake Forest Beach. Everyone brings a favorite dish and participate in a communal dinner and a family party. These pictures show their picnic held in August 2000.
This
organization is a part of the Islamic Cultural Center of Greater
Chicago with the address at 1810 N. Pfingsten Road, Northbrook,
IL 60062. The ICC Women’s Group was found in 1987 and elects
its own board each year. About half of its members are Bosnians
and the other half are mostly Arabs. Most of their activities
are charitable and humanitarian. They have organized many
lectures / dinners with well known scholars or personalities as
guest speakers for different topics. Their fund-raising dinners
and other projects have benefited and provided substantial help
to many needy causes and charity or community projects.
